As much as
it sounds weird,it tastes as bad.We are known to have chai with
chini, elaichi, ginger, tulsi even kaali mirch but who has it with Namak?
Well,the
answer is simple..someone who has a bad taste or someone who has an angry
Karma.
A salty tea can be compared with the mishaps
of life that nobody expects to happen.Just like Radhika did not imagine it to
be…
Tea in
disposable small cups were being distributed among the guests who were sitting
in the Verandah of the house, garlands spread all over the floor.
Chit chats and assumptions
were being made, very common to a shadi wala ghar. The marriage of the eldest
daughter was to be held tomorrow and there was plenty of stuff to be still done
for the event.Everybody apart from the daughter’s parents were present in the
hall including the chacha’s and mama’s.Aunties were busy in discussing the variety
of sarees they own opposed to the ones they get to wear. The uncles in the house
were however busy in debating about the politics in this country. As for the
kids, they could have been compared to the kites flowing in the sky.Among the chaos
was seen the father who was still confused about the amount of sweets to be
ordered and was busy asking the adults about the same. The daughter and the
mother were having an emotional one to one conversation about the gravity of
the situation and future that the girl was going to get into. Some moments later…
Songs of Mehendi
and Sangeet took over the audience and the day got to an end after giving everyone
a pretty exhaustion.
As the clock
struck 9’0 clock in the morning, arrangements were further taken care of.
Rituals
before the wedding were being performed henceforth, lunch was being enjoyed by
family. The array of emotions on the parents face and actions were being seen by
everyone. The bride was sent to the parlour to get ready for the D Day and the
house was full of echoing questions “if anybody was ready at all?”.Exchange of
safety pins and lipsticks were mandatory.
All was a
saga place until couple of men noticed the absence of the bride’s father, the
search began.
Unfortunately,he
was found in the bathroom lying unconscious. The doctor in the house approved
the possibility of a heart attack. He was immediately taken to the hospital.
On the other
side the bride had little idea about it and drove back pretty fine from the
parlour. However,as soon as she entered the house reality hit her and she broke
into tears that had taken a form of questions about “what happened when I was
away?”
“how did it
happen?”
“what if he
dies!?”
Karma hit
her bad..and she was in pure disgust.
A heavy duty
bride was seen in the hospital who was rushing towards the intensive care unit
to see her father.
She had managed
to make up her mind of cancelling the wedding that was to be held the very day
at 8 her father however wished the cards served purpose and his daughter gets
married on the same day.
And as the
fate would have it,there was no purpose of arguing over with a man who was
lying on a hospital bed and Radhika though hesistant, agreed.
The marriage
took place without the presence of her father who was perhaps the most excited
for her wedding maybe even more than her.She was numb throughout the wedding,on
the mandap, into the pheras and also on the occasion of bidaai. She was left with
no tears to shed now,the only thing which she demanded was that she needs to
see her father midway to her new family.
But being
the centre of attraction comes with its own set of pros and cons…as per the rules..the
new Bride could not visit the morgue…
